Accepted to University of Kent Bsc Biology...Is there any time to switch to Biomed?

Hello everyone,
Since the time I posted my concerns here:

I am really happy to announce my acceptance at the University of Kent as my firm choice. I am really happy since it was the only university (and top choice) that accepted me as a transfer student from a US college. Unfortunatelly I have to start from the begging (Stage 1). I am really happy for my choice. Nevertheless while I was browsing the Biosciences website of the university, I was looking and comparing the Bio and Biomed programs' structures. I really liked the Biomed's structure much more since I don't have to take any Plant Physiology, Climate related topics. And I am asking to you, is it possible to change my degree at this point of time (as June 26th 2015) way before the term starts? Even though I am scared to ask the School of Bioscences I am otherwise happy with the Biology Degree.

Do you have any advice? What do you think guys? Thanks a lot!

Sorry for my bad English in advance. I don't know If I have to mention it here but I have applied for a Student Loan and required to enter the information about the program. If I ever take the decision to switch degrees from the Bio sciences School do I need to any changes in the Student Loan Account?

Hey there

I'd advise contacting Kent as soon as possible and asking them if you can swap. Whilst I didn't do this for Kent, I did at Liverpool and they had no problem allowing this, and my course swapped to something completely different. There is no harm in asking :smile:

Courses and rules are different at different unis so you need to ask the uni.

I changed my course in Kent. They do that if the course is similar.

Nope, I don't see much difference. I changed from BA Digital Arts to BSc Multimedia Technology & Design and they were fine with that. I think you are good to go.
