Chemistry degree then dentistry?

Hi, im currently doing my A-levels and want to proceed to be a dentist..however i think i should do a chemistry degree and then go on to do denistry as a graduate? Any help?

Why? If you think it's because your grades won't be good enough to get into dentistry straight away, you should bear in mind that graduate entry is usually extremely competitive and you would need at least a high 2:1 if not a First to stand much chance of getting in.
