Early admittance to university?

In Australia there is something called special tertiary admissions where you can go to university from the age of 16 (if you pass some tests and things). I was going to try this but now I live in England so I was wondering if there is any similar programme here? I have just finished GCSEs

No, not that I'm aware of, unless you manage to do your A-levels in an extremely short amount of time

not in England. In Scotland you can go at 17 after doing Highers.
