Revision Guides

I am about to start my A-levels and am interested in buying revision guides, however I'm not sure which one is the best. I need to know which book is best for edexcel AS music and maths. Anyone have any suggestions ?
It depends a lot on the exam board you're doing. It's often a good idea to get the board-certified textbooks, since they contain everything you need to know relevant to the board's specification.

Here's an example for EdExcel maths: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edexcel-AS-Level-Modular-Mathematics/dp/0435519107/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435851575&sr=8-1&keywords=edexcel+a+level+maths

To be fair to the other authors/publishers, all of the 'reputable' offerings will also work quite well. They often have different teaching styles -- CGP are known for their fairly unique, waffley (but not necessarily bad) presentation of information.

EDIT: It's also good to mention that your sixth-form will give you textbook recommendations at the beginning of the year.
