english & classics courses?
my friend reckons oxford because it's oxford, but i looked at the course and it seems heavily language based in classics and not much contemporary literature - wondering how flexible courses are? was told to check out cambridge, and while i like both the courses there you can't do joint honours which i'm hoping to do. so besides oxbridge which i'm not at all set on, what uni's are good for english and classics, preferably joint honours? any first hand advice would be great, like about course flexibility, focuses and general enjoyment
