Are there any 1 year IT courses which can be used for University?

I failed an Extended BTEC that was often slow and unchallenging, and all year I wished I was on a 1 year course with other's my age. I wonder if there are condensed adult courses, or maybe night classes. It seems strange if there's not, since IT has big self-taught names and is still booming.

Edit: Access to Higher Education courses look good. Are they studious but friendly?

I've found Access to Higher Education Courses here: http://www.accesstohe.ac.uk/Pages/Default.aspx. It's a (hard-working) 1 year course for several subjects, including IT, for adults (19 and up?), with university at the end, which is just what I want. Looking around, it seems like I'd be with other young people, with the possibility of a older group. Hopefully the work-load doesn't kill socialising, another problem with my last course. Please say if you're in the know. I like the look of sociology :biggrin:
