Scorching UK summers are going to become more commonplace

... so why aren't we as a country building more water parks?

I'm lucky to be living by the sea but I feel sorry for all of you who on a nice day in the incredible heat can only enjoy it by sunbathing.

What should us as the UK be doing for our future of hot summers, should we have more water slides, or actually tackle the climate problem?

They said the exact same thing in the 70's about global cooling.

"Climate experts believe the next ice age is on its way." Etc.

I may use this to get my boss to get us air con.

I'm currently leaning on an ice pack though, so I don't really feel all that hot.
ffs :frown: I want grey drizzle tbh.
I'm not complaining, mind you higher bills as we have to keep the air con going
Good, finally we'll get some sun and heat around here.

No they did not say the "exact same thing". There was a handful of studies that suggested that, plus the media, but more studies were predicting warming. The 1970s cooling consensus is a myth.

I know, it does sound too good to be true!

What would be the point, since there is no climate problem in the real world?
