lol when I was on a competition tour they recommended 4 hours! from a meal to a race. I usually give it 2 hours at least if im going to do football practise or running of any sort (and swimming or you'll be sick!). otherwise if im just going to do some weights 90 mins will do.

Re: Eating before exerciseWhere did you get that info from? I might agree with not eating 2 hours before exercise but don't eat until 2 hours after exercise? Your body will take in the carbs, proteins, nutrients etc most efficiently within an hour of exercise. Also you will have used up a lot of your glycogen store and if this isn't replaced then most people will feel tired or sleepy later on in the day.(Original post by Logan)
its always.. never eat before and after exercise... always have a 2 hour cushion between eating and axercise. -
