City of Glasgow College

Hey  I'll be attending city of glasgow college in September to study NC Business and I'll also be staying in St Lukes halls.

I was wondering if anyone else is doing either or these things or if anyone has any tips for starting this college? I'm from Edinburgh so a bit nervous about starting in a new city!

Hello! I'm Starting the HNC Business in September. Have you had your induction yet? Hope it went well for you if you have!

My tips for starting college (albeit cliche) is just to be yourself! I'm a strong believer in that if you be yourself, the right path and people will find you!

And as for Glasgow in general, it's an amazing city and as you'll see on signs everywhere, people make Glasgow! and they really do. I find Glasgow, smaller and less offensive than Edinburgh myself, so no need to be nervous, you'll be great.

Good luck with everything! And if you need any guidance, I'm here.
I'm starting CoGC also this September, just moved into Victoria Halls yesterday. Anyone else in student halls yet?

Hey  yeah I moved in on the 17th, only a couple other people in my flat so it's super quiet, how's your flat?

Hi! yeah I had my induction, it was really quick like in and out within half an hour so I didnt really get to chat to anyone however I'm eager to start and start socialising  how was yours?

Thanks for the advice, I definitely feel that Glasgow is a better city as well!

Yeah I know, I've only been out once with my roommate and her friends but I feel a bit exempt from the group being then only one not from France lol :frown: I only know my boyfriend but he's working a lot and my two best friends in Edinburgh work during the week so it's only really weekends I can do stuff!

Are the victoria halls the new ones that have been built or is that what the ones on St Lukes Terrace are called?

Ahh I think in the block next to me there is 3 Spanish girls . Victoria Hall is just a bit north of Glasgow Caley Uni and the Hanover campus of City College. It's private halls though and not City College ones!
