I've come from A levels so I have no therapist background but for people like me, the course allows us to catch up with other people with beauty backgrounds :smile:

3 years possibly 4, yeah I have full beauty and some spa training :smile:

Hey girls I'm doing International Spa Management this year too :smile:

I've got an NVQ in Beauty Therapy so the uni advised me to go for the FdSc and then do a top up year cause apparently the FdSc is the better option for people who have already done beauty :smile:

Are you all hoping to stay at the High Peak Halls? xxx

heyy, when i called some woman before to ask her about the course and entry requirements she told me with all my beauty qualifications and experience i have that i could go onto the BSc (Hons) but i just have to do a maths key skills before i applied so i have to apply for next year :frown:

hey this is what someone wrote in a post about fdsc and bsc :
A foundation degree is a pre-university degree standard degree usually taken by students who lack the qualification to be admitted into a BA or BSC course. When completed you will then progress into the BA degree which is 3/4 years.

The BSc is a full degree qualification, and the FdSc is only the first two years of a degree but there's an opportunity to progress onto the 3rd year of the BSc after doing 2 years to convert it into a full degree :smile:

The units for both courses are pretty much identical but I've found some differences for each one-
BSc Massage Techniques / FdSc Applied Spa Skills
BSc Specialised Massage Techniques / FdSc Advanced Spa Skills
BSc Balanced Nutrition and Spa Cuisine / FdSc Spa Cuisine: Concepts and Philosophies

So it looks to me that the BSc focuses on massage more :smile:

Ahh right , yeah I'm doing the full degree I just thought then that there was another full degree choice too but there all pretty much the same, thanks :smile:
