university meeting?

Hello,

I applied to study in September, however my deadline for offers is on the 16th July. However, I have received an email yesterday stating for me to visit the university I have applied for with a letter off my GP stating my medication that I take regarding my mental illness. The email stated that the meeting would discuss whether I would need extra support at the University during my studies, it will also allow me to discuss with an advisor on how to apply for Disability student allowance. I'm confused, as why would they want me to attend these meetings without offering me a place? Does this mean they are going to offer me a place,any ideas? Thanks
