Sanctuary Students Question

Hi, the sanctuary students accommodation looks good but it says that the guarantor must be a home owner, are they strict on that cause I don't see how that affects anything, I don't know any home owners but I know plenty of people who are responsible and have the ability to pay rent if I couldn't.

I lived there in first year and they wouldn't budge on the home-owners rule, i had to pay a years worth of rent up front when i moved in.
