Need Help on Homework

Im currently doing A2 salters advanced chemistry and im little confused on my homework. Why is aspirin less soluble than salicylic acid?

Salicylic acid is more polar. In aspirin the OH group (phenol) of the salicylic acid is esterified and the OH can no longer H bond with water.
