Boiling the milk makes it taste awful to me! Hate when my mom accidently lets the milk boil after she puts it in at the end, just tastes so weird!

Lol what does it taste like?

I assume you don't drink boiled milk on it's own then? I don't, I think it tastes horrible :yucky:

If you're making it with a teapot:
1. Take milk out of fridge 10 minutes prior to boiling the kettle to allow it to reach room temperature.
2. Boil the kettle.
3. Slosh boiled water around in the teapot for a while to warm and clean it.
4. Place two teabags in the teapot (possibly more depending on its size).
5. Pour the boiled water into the teapot.
6. Pour a dash of milk into mug.
7. Let tea brew for 4 minutes.
8. (Optional) Squish teabags against the walls of the teapot as it brews.
9. Pour brewed tea into the mug.
10. (Optional) Add sugar.
11. Stir.

If you're making it without a teapot:
1. Take milk out of fridge 10 minutes prior to boiling the kettle to allow it to reach room temperature.
2. Boil the kettle.
3. Pour boiled water into the mugs to warm and clean them.
4. Put one teabag in each mug and add the boiled water.
5. Let tea brew for 3 minutes.
6. (Optional) Squish teabag against the walls of the mug as it brews.
7. Take teabag out.
8. Add a dash of milk.
9. (Optional) Add sugar.
10. Stir.

This is an art, people.

Tea bag, sugar, water, milk, tea bag out, voila

Milk and sugar in at the same time as the teabag? You disgust me.

You feral beasts.

It's tea bag & sugar in. Hot water in. Tea bag out. Milk in. Stir.

Why is the teabag out before the milk is in?

Teabag in, boiling water in, wait 10 minutes, drink.

Am I the only one who drinks tea plain and strong? (ie no milk, no sugar and with the bag still in the mug)

No sugar = a good thing, and no milk? I'm used to this when I run out of milk.

But why the **** would you leave the teabag in the mug? That's just plain weird.

How long does it take you to make tea, jeez :s-smilie:

I'm drinking ~5 or 6 mugs a day, I don't have time to expend on that sort of commitment
wtf you boil it twice?!

I do:

1) put tea bag + sugar into mug
2) boil water with a kettle
3) add hot water to mug
4) pour a dash of milk into mug (the milk is cold, straight from the fridge)

If you include the milk warming, 15 minutes.

Without, 5 minutes. I'm very efficient now.

EDIT: Forgot about the boiling part - more like 6 minutes (I have a fast kettle). I only drink tea once or twice a day so I have no problem with doing it correctly.

Honestly depends on what tea you are going for.

For the classic Indian tea

What you will need:

PG tips tea bags.
Water
Sugar
A pot with a handle
Spices
Milk
The tea sieve thing, whatever it's called.

1) Put water, sugar, spices and tea bags in the pot.
2)Let it boil
3)Add milk
4)Let it boil again
5) Use your sieve tea thing to get rid of the spices and teabag from your tea.

Pour into a cup and enjoy, don't burn your mouth.

Good luck :colondollar:

You forgot the part where you add the marijuana.

This way the tea tastes stronger. I usually take it out towards the end, but I like my tea to be as strong as possible (hence no milk and not taking out the bag until absolutely necessary). I guess I love the taste of actual tea too much...

Firstly, what's all this sugar? Ruins the taste.

TEA BAG:
- Tea bag in
- Hot water in
- Stir
- Tea bag out
- Milk in
- :h:

TEA POT:
- Make tea in pot (teabags, hot water, stir, leave for 2-3 minutes)
- Milk in mug
- Tea in mug
- :u:

Either works. But seriously, NO SUGAR

no i don't take sugar either :/

I'm a huge tea drinker, but i don't feel worthy when someone who doesn't use tea bags talks about tea.. you must spend so much time on making your tea :dontknow:

Not really ... tea brews while I make toast for breakfast. And the plastic insert in the tea press makes throwing the used leaves away easy as well.

Ah right haha.. not too bad then!
Tea bag in mug
Boil water in kettle
Pour water in mug
Leave for 10 seconds
Tea bag out
Add two sugars
Add a bit of milk and volla
It has to be PG tips:yep:

hot milk?? really, but then wouldn't it be way to hot to drink and you'd have to leave it to cool down anyway??

I like taking my time drinking my tea so I can properly relax and savour it. I just like that hot milk means it won't get cold as quickly, plus I find it makes the tea a little more creamier than cold milk.

I can still sip the tea as soon as I make it, maybe I've just become immune to how hot I can take it lol.
