yay, judging from your pic you are welsh?
Depends who I'm speaking to. I tend to vary between the two at home but if I'm not in the North I'll just say dinner.

I just call it "food".
I say 'dinner' as saying 'tea' to me sounds a bit weird, I think that I have been brought up to say 'dinner' although some people I know do say 'tea'. I think that it depends where you are in the country to what your more likely to say. There is no right or wrong way
TEA I refuse to give in to people calling it such ridiculous things as 'dinner' pfffft

Personally:

Dinner - proper meal etc.
Tea - cakes, tea, coffee etc.

However for my parents it's the time of day it's at:
Dinner - a meal from 8pm
Tea - a meal between 5pm and 8pm
Supper is definitely a like 9pm snack  I think that actual answer to this varies. I believe that dinner is the largest meal of the day, so you have lunch then dinner or dinner then tea, I personally use both ;D
Dinner or, like someone else mentioned, "food".
dinner usually, tea occasionally

True, but in the thread title it said evening
I have dinner at around 4 so I don't really count that as an evening.
This thread needs a poll!

I call it dinner. Tea is that drink made with hot water, a tea bag and milk.

The meal at mid day is lunch.
