I remember reading Jacquline Wilson books in Primary school of my own accord and being read Mr Majeika stories by the teacher. My dad also used to read my Roald Dahl books and do loads of different voices for different characters. My favourite was George's Marvellous Medicine. :h:

In secondary I adored reading The Ruby In The Smoke. I have very fond memories of reading it at my Dad's house - getting to snuggle up in his HUGE comfy bed whilst he took the sofa and reading for hours into the early morning cos he couldn't tell when the light was on from downstairs! That habit still hasn't died... :colondollar:

Why has no one said To Kill a Mockingbird yet? Is that too cliche? :colondollar:

Twas my favourite book by a mile :yep: Though we did read lots of interesting stuff at GCSE and AS/A2 :yep:

I tutored a GCSE student in the book and didn't have time to reread it before our first session, but I was surprised by how much I remembered despite not having read it for over a year. Eventually I reread it, and got so much more out of it by reading it again, I definitely recommend it :smile:
