24+ loan and benefits

Hi all,

I've just been on the phone to ESA and explained that my 'team' are encouraging me to start an access course.

I currently receive pip enhanced and standard, esa income/support and severe disability premiums.

Esa told me that the loan might impact on my Esa and the fact that I was in education would 'probably' see me losing the severe disability premiums. I think the PIP would not automatically go but rather I would probably have a re-assessment?

Anyone been in this situation of starting college with the above?
You're being given wrong information:
Full time students generally aren't entitled to benefits. However, those entitled to PIP are. Your PIP isn't affected by studying, unless your studying contradicts your care and /or mobility needs. Ditto ESA. Your severe disability premium won't be affected either.

Your 24+ loan is just a tuition fee loan. Therefore, isn't classed as income for ESA.
