My mums caught me a couple of times purely because I didn't think anybody was in the house, I had music playing etc.
It's embarrasing, yes, but as parents they do understand. They've been young once, masturbating is a perfectly naturally and normal thing. It's embarrasing but you'll get over it. It'll be okay.
