Hi there,
I stayed in Raglan in my first year and I loved it. For me it was the perfect balance - it is smaller than most of the other accommodations (in terms of how many people live there - not room size!), but that meant that I got to know pretty much everyone in my block really quickly. There was always something going on there if I wanted company or to go out, but it was also quiet enough that I could get work done at home without going to the Library if I wanted to. The beds are bigger than a standard single, and all rooms are en suite so it gives you the perfect opportunity to get used to living independently.
