I think the deadline is in august but you'd better check. I'm definitely applying soon just to be on a safe side. I'll be commuting by train to London so my whole bursary will go on train fare. Will definitely need the maintenance loan. I want to work part time too but I've heard that year one is full on and don't know how much time I will have to squeeze in a job at the same time

Maximum? Depends where you take it. Superintendent radiographer a are band 8a I think, sonographers are band 7, specialists are band 6. It also depends whether you work NHS or private. You can be locum. There isn't really any maximum salary because it's all dependent on where you go.
Really want to study radiography, I am going to apply for an access to HE course for september however I've no work experience relating to this sector. Hopefully ill be able to get a few days of shadowing a radiographer though the summer. Is there any hope i will get into uni with with an access course and one days shadowing exp, I'm 21 now will be 22 when i start my access course. Thanks in advance.

As long as the access course you're doing is science/healthcare based, then yes.
Try to get more than one day's experience. Make sure it's what you want to do, don't just see it as a tickbox exercise on your uni application.

Has anyone firmed City?
I've put City as my firm choice and St George's as my insurance.
I'm just really worried about the accommodation for City because the ensuite is £175 a week! I don't know think I'll be able to afford it with my NHS bursary and maintenance loan so I'm just going to have to find a job and work over summer. How is everyone else planning on affording the accommodation?

you cab still apply for student finance and put down the uni you wish to go to. You can always change the uni after clearing!

You can apply to other unis on UCAS extra if you have no offers you do not have to wait until clearing unless you get no offers through extra too X

Hey I'm currently doing access to science at Chichester college and have just formed my place at Portsmouth uni so the answer is yes you can. Before I chose my access course I emailed the uni asking what credits I needed and was told 45 credits at merit or distinction in science. I'd recommend you email the uni's to check what they require before choosing your coursr

Can't wait to start in September too. I've done my maintenance loan, so I just need to finish my NHS bursary. Have you applied for accommodation or are you commuting to uni?No accommodation for me I'm a mature student and live 20 mins down the road how about you?
My bursary took 2 days to come through so they are pretty quick at the mo
