Chemistry degree for mature student

I'm about to start at Teesside on the year 1 Chemistry course, and I'm slightly nervous about what to expect on the course. I'm a mature student, and only did AS level chemistry when I was at college, but started with the OU a couple of years ago doing their Chemistry course (S104, S141, S142). I'm worried about the jump up in difficulty, I've been working through a book that was recommended to me, but its all a bit daunting. Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, how did you cope?
