Reading List's and Books

Hi There,

I'm starting my studies in September (Year 1) and have noticed there is a summer reading list for my English Language combined degree....Is it advisable to buy the full books on the list or wait until I get to Uni?

Thanks

Wait until you get to university, your first lecture for each module will tell you which books to buy. I'm pretty sure first years get their textbooks for free this year too, so don't buy them now only to find out that you could have saved a couple hundred quid.

I'm a third year and we got a £50 voucher to spend in the campus book shop, but it was announced that first years will be getting all their essential reading textbooks for free a few months back on Facebook.

Id say buy a couple then wait, the library will have most/all of them so there's no need to buy them  just see if any are cheap on amazon if you want to do summer preparation
