Why do women seem to like coffee shops/cafes more than men?

I dont know if its just my observation so tell me if you disagree, but it seems that women like to go in cafes/coffee shops and sit down for a drink more so than men. Men seem happy sitting in a car with a flask and home made sandwich and dont seem too bothered. Men dont seem too bothered about stopping off for a drink in the first place yet women like to. Of course im generalising and i might be wrong in that women seem to like this more than men but if its correct, why do you think this is? Lol

Because going for coffee is a social lubricant and women like socialising. You can't strike up a conversation over a thermos and a couple of cheese sandwiches unless you're a trainspotter.

I'm pretty sure it's only women that keep the consumer economy going. No wonder we had to have feminism, the western world would have gone bankrupt otherwise.

God OP you were asking for it with this sort of thread lol.

they need coffee/caffeine more than men because they use up more of their energy in a day on thinking hard about things men wouldn't think hard about - e.g. "that boy said 'see you in class' - does that mean he hates me because he's not walking me to class?"

Many reasons why we like it...
1. The coffee and whatever else they are serving.
2. If there is a very, handsome looking man working there.
3. Peace, away from people you do know and around strangers which lets face it have about a 30% chance off talking to you.
4. You can stay there for however long you want to, the chairs are mainly comfortable.
5. Mainly because the coffee is amazing.
I go to coffee shops with friends and I go alone

They're lovely places to go to for a chilled catch up or to read a book
I've always preferred cafes to pubs and I am aware that it's more of a female environment.
Because coffee. That's a good enough reason in itself
Women love to talk
Because they dont know how to manage their finances properly. Two cappucinos at Costa cost more than a 50- servings pack of premium quality Nescafe Azura.

Women should buy a kettle.

how stupid.

that's like saying people who go to restaurants don't know how to manage their finances properly and should just buy a frying pan instead :/
Lol at all the people generalising on here.

I personally don't like coffee, so you don't catch me in coffee shops/cafes. I'd only really go if my friend invites me to one.

If you could make 50 pizzas yourself at home for the same price as getting two pizzas at a pizzeria, that would be true, but that is not the case, so what you're saying isn't true.

If people have the money to spend on £4 coffee then let them. Seriously who cares. Just because they spent money on that rather than a box of coffee from a supermarket doesn't mean they're **** with finances.

I do let them. I did not start a petition to ban people from spending £4 on coffee.
I don't like the coffee I make at home.. I really have tried but I just can't do it right. Also, it gives me somewhere to go in my lunch break from work.
Because they like to think they are sophisticated and and oh so popular and busy having yet another coffee sesh with their bff that they haven't seen in like forever (i.e. a day) from whom they just have to get the latest gossip
Because they'll find Cup o' Tea there I presume.
