college pool

Does anyone know if durham's colleges run a pool system like cambridge, so if you wernt offered a place at your college of choice another college mite want you? cheers.

Durham is a bit different. The department decides if they want you or not and then they see if the people they have given places to can fit into their chosen colleges or not. I think there is then a draw to see who gets into their chosen colleges. They then allocate everyone else.

This may be useful! Basically the college itself has no say over who gets in, it's based on ensuring every college has a range of each subject!
