Bioengineering MRes end date?
I will be starting a MRes in Bioengineering this fall, and I plan to return to the US for a PhD afterwards. The problem is that US PhD programs generally start at the beginning of September, while this masters program appears to go later. According to the handbook I found from last year, "Studentshand in their final project report in early September, with an oral examination at the end ofSeptember."
Not really knowing the system, how strict is this, and what exactly does "end of September" mean. I suspect that it's more flexible than a taught masters program, but I'm not familiar enough with the UK system to know whether or not I'd be able to start a US PhD program in the fall or not.
