Recommended Reading, website links and revision notes
We have taken the great threads we had recommended physics reading, physics websites and physics revision notes and added the content to TSR WIKI.

If you need these lists you will find them by following the links below. To add to them simply edit the page (ask for help if you need it) or post the recomend book or website in this thread with a few details about it.

The revision notes section of the wiki also needs a lot of in put. Please feel free to help out in any way you can. No amount of help is too small

    The wiki page links:

    Recommended Physics Reading

    Physics Textbooks

    Physics Websites

    Physics Revision Notes

That lists great. Gonna keep me busy over the summer :p: Thanks!

The cambridge reading link is no longer correct btw (soz i don't know how to change it).

Also, is there a reading list for Oxford Physics? I've tried looking but couldn't find one.

Thanks for that, I think I have corrected it now, I just hope its the same page as it was before. I'm not aware of an Oxford Physics one, although some colleges do send out recommended textbooks etc. I don't think they advise too much on casual reading though.

One of these days I'll also get around to doing the physics textbooks article properly.

Do you know how to add that to the wiki? I think it might be nice to have it on there....if you're not sure, have a look in the help pages on the wiki. If you're still stuck, you can ask for help in the wiki help forum

I prob should mention that I may have just edited a Wikipedia textbook to make that (but its not copy righted so its ok )

I tried to make sure the syllabus was on it (a few things missing i think)

    http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/A-level...ns_and_Photons

I added some stuff to it and reformatted it

Hello. I thought I would compile a list of all the decent books available to use for studying Physics, specialising mainly on OCR A as that is my exam board. Here is the link (on Amazon):

OCR A Physics Books (Study & Revision) or AS & A2

Please let me know your views on this, and please do tell me any books that you recommend which are not on the list. I think all the books are good, however, how many should I use when studying? I have some of the books on the list, and the others I refer to when I'm at the library.

Maybe if other members agree on the books, they can be added to the Wiki for A Level Physics reading?

Also, there is more available on Wikibooks where Lucien_Roach got his Electrons and Photons from: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/A-level_Physics

    Hope this all helps.

Isn't there a physics website that has a whole bunch of physics past papers for the edexcel board? It's something like mysite orange or something. Could anyone give a link to that site? I'd be very grateful
    Thanks

Re: Recommended Reading, website links and revision notes
I just found this on google:

    [link edited out]

Has anyone on here used this revision guide who can let me know how good it is before I take the plunge...?

    Cheers

    R

ADMIN EDIT: I have removed the link in this post as I have had a report from someone that, after paying money to buy the service/product on the site that the link to download the product did not work and there has been luck in hearing back from the site. So I think it best to remove the link to prevent others from potentially risking their money. Thanks, RK.
