The wireless connection is a secure 802.11b connection, it's ok although the hotspots could be more widespread :frown:. The main buildings with wireless access are the library and Clement House btw, as well as some parts of the old building.

Basically people only use laptops in the library. Nobody uses them in lectures- you'll rarely see them being used in cafeterias or in classes as well.

It's perfectly safe btw....

Do you know if LSE is working to expand the number of hotspots on campus. Since the campus is pretty small in size, it shouldn't be too hard to make the whole campus wireless (provided that the right amount of money is spent).

Also, do a lot of UK unis have wireless hotspots or campuses?

A lot of universities in America are getting to that level, but I'm sure that they are spending a lot of money to do it.
