That was the paper I'm sitting tho haha. It is really confusing.

Don't give up, just make sure you really understand the basics well then proceed to these confusing questions. These questions are used to distinguish A* from A according to my teacher. So even if you cannot answer them on the spot during the real exam after all your hard work to learn solving them, you can still get a decent A grade. Plus, if you have some relevant working for these hard questions, you can still get some extra marks, which means there is still a big possibility for you to get the A* grade.
