Surprisingly calm. I'll start freaking out the night before probably

[*]Are you AS or A2?
A2

[*]Which subjects do/did you study

Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (In order of difficulty of the exams; maths being the least difficult)

A*A*A*A* (we can but hope)

[*]To which uni are you hoping to go?

I'm extremely worried about Bio. The Paper 4 was very shady, as was Chemistry! But I remain hopeful.

Hi that's great to learn! Are you an Imperial College Offer Holder from Pakistan too? I can sense that! Nice to meet you!
*]How are you feeling about results day?

Really really depressed. Did not do anything these summers and have been thinking about getting into University ever since my STEP.

[*]To which uni are you hoping to go?

Imperial College London. Might miss my offer but I have UCL as insurance.

[*]Anything to add?

I'm puking by stress. I'm taking Valium since 1 June, started with 5mg and now 15 mg per day. I had given Advance Placement Exams as well and secured good marks in the hardest APs (5,5,5,5,4) but unfortunately my Imperial offer was not based on APs. UCL's was so I got in confirmed and unconditional now.

I'm so happy I'm not the only one that feels that way about biology paper 4. It was just generally a weird paper. How was it for you?
Don't know what to expect!

Awesome! I look forward to meeting you at Imperial. I have faith you'll do great. If things don't go according to plan for the both of us, then UCL it is! It's my insurance too.
I'm curious though, what's the 'B' for?

How are you feeling about results day?
Terrified but excited!

Are you AS or A2?
A2

Which subjects do/did you study
Maths, FM, Physics, Chemistry and Spanish

How did your exams go?
They were all great except for paper 3 maths, which could have gone a bit better.

What grades are you hoping to get?
I mean I hope I get A*A*AA, that doesn't mean that's what I'll get! (Dreaming is free, right?)

To which uni are you hoping to go?
Imperial, UCL's my insurance

To study which subject?
Chemical Engineering

Anything to add?
Bricking it due to maths. Chemistry I'm a bit nervous about as I only got 85% at AS so A2 would have to be excellent.
I really hope Maths grade boundaries are generous! If not I'm proper screwed. Ahh I never thought I'd be in the situation where I'd fear not meeting my offer due to maths!

Hi, that's great to learn! Well, Further Mathematics is definately a B.

One question: Math Alevel P3 hw much does one need for an A? What if all the components add up to -30 (~220 approximately A*) but I do not meet threshold of one component - what happens then?

I absolutely agree with you, Biology had "fresh from hell" written all over it. Most questions were weird really, they weren't straightforward! (I know, it's A Level, and CIE doesn't do straightforward but that was just insane! At least make it clear what kind of answer you want!) May the thresholds be ever in our favour.

As long as you get an overall A* mark wise you're fine
Maths P3 went terribly for me too :frown: Only expecting 65 marks or so. Fortunately S2 was great (47-48 marks minimum!) and I got 116/125 at AS.
Still not sure if this will be enough. Last year people in zone 3 for maths (13, 23 and so on) had to get 234 marks for an A*! So here's to hoping
Are you sure if the overall grade is A* regardless of the individual grades of components, I am fine? I cut 8 marks from S1 and approx 15-20 marks in P3.

Yep.
Still, how well did you do at AS?

A*A*AA Maths Chem Phys FM
A*AA Grade 2 in STEP 1.

I'm saying FM is 'B' on the basis that the individual mark of compliments are needed with the overall mark. Otherwise my P1 was -15 and P2 was -8

I forgot to mention, my STEP was horrible. Perhaps a U
