Is it ok to spam in Korean?

The reason why I am asking this is because I have seen lots of these Korean posts across the forums. They don't seem to be appearing all of the time - however, this has been happening since about 2 months ago.

They all seem to be advertising some sort of website, usually Korean casinos etc.

The attached image depicts how the "TSR News and Feedback" section is looking at the moment. Is there any way of dealing with things like this effectively, so we can, in effect, stop these spammers from even signing up to the site? It gets a bit tiring having to report every time I see a spam post like this.

It's just Psy trying to make a comeback.

Having moderators working hours outside of 9-5 Mon-Fri... Oh, snap.
There's nothing wrong with giving your bank account details to the totally legit Koreans.

But he wouldn't be advertising Korean Casino's, surely?

I agree about the thing with having mods working outside of office hours. Though it seems like, based on the TSR moderation changes, things only get done during office hours. :frown:

I'm still coming to terms with the fact that there exists an apparently sentient mind capable of amassing 25,000 posts in TSR's 'Welcome Lounge'.

If you're talking about me, no I haven't made 25k posts in the welcome lounge. I have made 25k posts across the whole site.

I'm not that obsessed with counting threads! In fact I was trying to stop any more than 3 or 4 different variants from taking hold.

But that doesn't make sense because Forum games IS part of the whole site?

Clearly I was referring to the part of the site that is not forum games.

Can there be such a place?:eek2:
Not sure why it's anybody else's business on where Spotify95 posts. He's always getting ridiculed for it, leave the guy alone.

CT is looking at potential ways to combat this however it's proving difficult as they're not automated.

The search continues.

In the mean time I've cleared out this forum and I've been quite on the ball with morning spam when I'm around. :fyi:

But I haven't made all of my posts in the Welcome Lounge? And anyway does it actually concern you as to where I am posting?

Let's get back on topic and discuss how this Korean Spam can be resolved?

Bit risky saying that... @spotify95 now has explicit permission from you to post whatever he wants... so he doesn't have to abide by the site rules now...
