Is History at Oxford a viable option?

Hi,

Just received my AS results on Thursday and achieved AAA in English Lit, Economics, and French, and got a B in History (missed A by 5 marks). I was absolutely heartbroken as all I wanted to do was get an A in History, but I had a bad day in the exam, and c'est la vie.

I intend to drop economics (as I really enjoy French and got 100% in Lit) and carry on with history, hoping to study hard and clinch that A next summer. I had really hoped of applying to Oxford to study history but I'm worried that this grade is going to be a real set back for me in the application process, even if my personal statement shows that I'm passionate about the subject.

Has anyone applied to Oxford/Cambridge with similar results, and do you think it will be a big problem when applying?
