Do we get paid our maintenance loan in one lump sum or in more than one payment?

I have applied for Student Finance and am aware of how much I will receive in the form of a maintenance loan but please could you tell me if I will receive this amount in one lump sum or in various payments throughout the year??? And on what date(s) will I receive it?

Also, when I log into Student Finance it won't let me see or change my bank details that I put in when I applied. How can I change this?

Hi there,

The Maintenance Loan will be paid to you in 3 installments throughout the year, and they will be paid in line with your Uni/College term dates.
The payment dates will update on your online account shortly.

Normally, you can change your bank details online.
If you're unable to do this, please call us on 0300 100 0607, and one of my colleagues can change them for you.

Hi,

Payments for the Maintenance Loan are scheduled to correspond with the term dates of your particular course. For example, if you start the first term of your course on 18 September your payment will be scheduled for this date.
