Do exam boards allow retake in modular if you get U in the subject?

If i get a U in AS, can I retake a modular for that subject in A2. Or is there a minimum requirement for the over all grade (like E) in order to retake a modular.

I think it depends on the centre, so you should call your school to ask them.

So exam boards allow this, but its college's decision if to the let people carry on with that subject in A2.

Yes, it's often a joint decision. Different schools have different 'pass grades' in terms of letting you go onto A2. i.e. my sixth form's pass grade was different for each subject but in general was a D. My friend's sixth form pass grade was an E. But at the end of the day it's the exam board's decision which matters most.
