Can you get an B at A2 with a D in AS?

After a year of straight A's in History AS I received a D in my final exams.

I'm not sure whether I want to retake, because it's just another exam to revise for, so is it possible to receive a B (that's all I need) next year with a D in AS?

You can. If you got the lowest D possible (100/200) at AS, and then 180/200 at A2, you'd get a B overall

Have you considered getting a remark?

I'm considering it, but I really don't want to get my hopes up if nothing changes. Plus, the possibility of something having gone wrong during the marking process sounds way too good to be true...
