A levels without GCSE

I recently moved from romania.
I am 16 years what I have already studied in romania is one year below for me to have the GCSE equivalent.
I have been already enrolled into A level courses without them asking for GCSE's.
What should I do now? Take GCSE's during A levels or go to live with some family friends in romania for another year?
If you are international student, you are not expected to have GCSEs. Just do A-Levels and that's fine.
You still need to do a course on GCSE Maths and English language (both C grades) if you want to head off to university after A-levels and also depends what course you want to do at uni as some require a GCSE in that base subject, study GCSE's while your doing your a-levels it can be done!
