Sponsored by the University

It was written in an email regarding my visa application that 'University of Bristol' is my sponsor.
Is this really true? It's just too good to be true

If it is the case, what is covered by the uni? will it be including airplane ticket, tuition fee, and monthly allowance?

Are there any Bristol's students have the same story? I hope you'd share.

Thank you

I am 99.99% sure it doesn't mean that. When you apply for a tier 4 student visa, there has to be someone that confirms that you are actually a student and not just someone who is coming to the UK for a job/holiday/whatever. In this case, by 'sponsoring' you, the university of Bristol is stating that they will be providing you with education and confirming that you are a student enrolled in a university course.

As Rubgish said a sponsor for a visa is simply to confirm you have a legitimate reason to have your application approved.

Its doesnt mean ££. It just means that they are the University behind your visa.
