It is more stable as CaCl2 because it means that Ca has a full outer e- shell. The greater stability means that bond formation releases more energy as there is less energy within the ion as it is more stable.
Not sure if that makes any sense...
The question is looking for you to construct a Born-Haber cycle to explain the preference of CaCl2 over the other two.

It will give you the enthalpy of formation of all three from which you can make your decision.
