Would I get in to dentistry?

just ace your UKCAT and do a **** ton of work experience (start asap) , volunteering and other extracurricular stuff. Make sure u get A in chem and another science in ur AS. Shouldn't be too hard tbh, lots of revision notes on this website and start past papers early and learn the exam technique. That's what helped me the most, learning exam technique and key words to put in long answer questions so you don't waffle on about random crap. I was getting Cs in biology and chem class tests and achieved AAAA after getting my **** together. I took maths, chem, bio and econ and have now dropped econ (i hate writing essays).

How much work experience though, because i have college!

2 weeks+ but its good if you get more, but dont just spend it all in like one practice. I ignored advice about work experience and didn't do any until this summer. I managed to get 2 weeks but it was hard to find places. It's good that you're starting now, try to get varied work experience, most importantly at an nhs practice and a private practice so you have an idea of the differences between them, maybe observe some specialists, dental lab, community dental practice, max-fax at hospital. You'll probably be limited to observing but if you can get any sort of hands-on experience that would be great. Also, its useless doing a ton of stuff if you haven;t learnt anything so ask questions and take notes because i've emailed a couple of unis about this they say the most important thing is that you can reflect on your experience and have an understanding of the different sides of dentistry, good and bad etc.

Hi my as level grades are A in maths, A in epq, B in biology, B in physics and C in chemistry. I am 5 us off from a B and will be remarking. I have my ukcat later in September do I stand a chance of getting into dental school.
