I'd say two screenfulls of info max... but remember you can section everthing off on the web so it's alot easier to find what you're looking for if it's on different pages
Yeah I really need to do that on my site, I am going to have to buy a book in PHP as I need use paging to to list my data from the database otherwise they will be too much information on one screen. I am not sure how you can do it though.

Paging seems quite hard to in PHP from what I have seen, I will just have to read through the tutorials and try and understand it.

The best PHP/MySQL book IMO is "Build your own: Database Driven Website Using PHP and MySQl" by Kevin Yank. Have a look at sitepoint.com, you can buy it there. Personally I had the book shipped over from America along with "Designing Without Tables Using CSS" by Dan Shafer using amazon.com. The $ - £ rate is quite good.

By 'paging' I assume you mean splitting text up into different pages using links by the footer or somewhere, Kev tells you how to do it all in the book, doesn't seem too hard either!

I'm doing a PHP/MySQL project myself for a bit of fun to distract me from the dull 'ICT' lessons at school, I have learnt an awful lot using the aforementioned books, definately worth the money.

Thanks I may have a look at that, I have just been to the trafford centre looking through the books and they told me notrhing I can't get of php.net.

I think I have found a good site that explains in detail how do you do the paging, and yes I mean splitting it up into different pages. I am particualy interested in that book designing websites without using tables. At the moment its such a niche and people who can do than are in demand.

Oh right, well in that case definately search around for some of Eric Meyer's books. The book by Dan Shafer is a great introduction, but even Dan has to admit that he picked up a few of his tricks from Eric. The main problem with making a tableless layout is the quirks with each browser's implementation of CSS.

There are numerous 'hacks' to overcome these problems though, as I am sure anyone will find out when experimenting with pure CSS layouts, more often than not you have to use the web to supplement these kinds of books anyway.

Yeah making pure CSS sites is what I do in my part time job but I have my boss there if I get stuck, I would like to become expert enough in it to it all by myself and earn myself a nice big fat pay rise.

Yeah it's really easy to make websites that aren't accessible, and the trougble when you start a big website like your musicinmanchester is that you tend to leave your other websites and forget about them for a while

That's what I've found... and when I look back at what I designed just 12 months ago it was total crubbish It looked awful lol
