What does 34 points mean? MATHS

Hi everyone,

I got 34 points on my maths GCSE exam and I got a D overall. How do I work out how much points needed for a C?

It just means it's a D. You will have to ask your school how close you were to the C/D boundary. You Maths teacher or exams officer could tell you.

You need the raw mark to UMS converter. The AQA board one is here:

http://www.aqa.org.uk/exams-administration/about-results/uniform-mark-scale/convert-marks-to-ums

but there are 3 units for their GCSE Maths, each with a different conversion rate.

Which board did you take?

Im guessing you did edxcel the point mark for a C is 40 and a B is 46

The 34 for a D, 40 for a C and 46 for a B applying to all GCSEs and are just another way of saying D, C or B. It is no indication of what marks you scored on in a GCSE.
