What is the difference between these two BTECs?

Hello.
I want to study computer science at university and currently I enrolled for BTEC national Diploma (18units)(Level 3) however some universities do not have this in their requirement pages and instead they have BTEC Extended Diploma (Known as Specialist) (level 3).

I wanted to know if it is the same course or mine is more valuable since its a BTEC course for computing only and it is equivalent to 3 A-Levels.

Please help me since I don't have much time to decide between what i want to do even though this course sounds really promising.

I also meet the requirements for maths and English (GCSE). B-B

Yes that is the same, as long as you have 180 credits at level 3 BTEC IT you should have the correct qualification
Pretty sure National Diploma is the old name for them. Level 3 are now called Extended Diploma.

if they are the same and national diploma is the old name, why are some universities have written one or the other as their requirements? is it only because its outdated (which I dont see how could be possible since they update the requirements page)?

Because some people may still be applying with National Diplomas.
