Can someone help me with Biology at university?

I was looking to do Biology at university but i'm not achieving good enough grades to apply. I was looking at doing a foundation year with Biology as they seem to require lesser grades to get on to the course, is anyone doing it/done it, what was it like? Do you learn the same things as people who don't do the foundation year and also do employers see you've done a foundation year and look down on you, thanks in advance.
Your best off looking at the course structure for the foundation year. The year may show up on your transcript but won't affect your employability.
