Ok, so I've been to see him today. We talked for 2 hours at least and I'm surprised by how.....relieved(?) I feel? I'm not sure if that's the right way to describe it, but after talking to him and actually understanding what he thinking after the past month or so, I do feel better for it.
Weirdly enough, after the initial (minor) interrogation on my part, we sat down had a coffee and was talking as if we were close friends still. Like, laughing and joking, like nothing had happened. So surreal.

I feel more content with myself now, and I'm happy I got to say everything I needed to, so I know there won't be any regrets about our meeting.

Funnily enough, I think towards the end when I was beginning to leave, he sort of regretted what he'd done. I definitely wouldn't mind us being friends again in the future, but for now I'm content to keep all contact to zero.
