Re: KCL Accommodation
Hi,
Just to add to this, I was thinking of applying to Brian Creamer House since it is only one of 2 kings campus's that belongs to kings and is 700 something cheaper per year. It doesn't look as nice, though that doesn't really bother me, but am I right that it's by a railway. And how is the walk to the strand campus- is it relatively straight forward? I've also never to been to the lambeth area, and so was wondering if anyone could tell me what it was like?
Thanks very much in advance ! -
Re: KCL Accommodation
Hi everyone. If I meet my offer I'll be based at the strand campus, but I heard that GDSA is much more sociable than SSA, so was thinking of applying there as my first choice and SSA as second? Is this a good idea or do you think the whole SSA being unsociable thing is unfounded? I'm not too bothered about the distance to campus, but is GDSA still in a nice area?

Re: KCL AccommodationI've heard that both are pretty hard to get into as most people apply to live there. I've chosen SSA as my first choice and GDSA as my second, despite the rumours. After all, Uni is what you make of it and I doubt that everyone who applies to live in those apartments are boring. However, the intercollegiate halls did look pretty cool - I wouldn't really mind if I got put there. I do want an en suite bathroom though :/(Original post by laura94)

Re: KCL Accommodation
Heyy!!
Can anyone help me please...when applying for accomodation...and you have to list your preferences including these intercollege hall residences
is this right site where I can find the info
http://www.halls.london.ac.uk/student/Default.aspxbecause on a different website for the same halls avaliable they quote different (lower) prices.
So can anyone tell me where i can find the prices and information/pictures of these halls? -
Re: KCL AccommodationFreshers week is the week before your classes begin. During that week you will have to register as a student, move into halls and you might have an introduction to your department with some events that you might have to attend. Last year it began on 19th of September and lasted one week. Move in dates are usually 17th/18th of September although you can move in earlier or later if you make arrangements with the halls manager.(Original post by razki)
Slightly off topic here, but whats the deal with freshers, I can't find anything on it, like dates etc. Also I've applied for stamford street, live in durham at the moment, think i'l get it?
Stamford Street is very popular and there are very limited amount of rooms available so do not assume you will get a room there. Be realistic and prepared to be given a room in another residence. You can swap if you are unhappy with your allocation but many people want to change and I don't think many swaps go through. Changing rooms within a residence is easier to do if you do not like the flat or corridor you are in. -

Re: KCL Accommodation
Hi
I have firmed a place with King's for September and I have already applied for accommodation.
I was wondering if there are any current students in King's accommodation that would be willing to be added to a Facebook group for future Nurses incase anybody there has accommodation/London area related questions? (Even if course is not related to nursing)
If you could let me know that would be GREAT
