If i retake will i get C in AS?

I messed up my biology exams.
There alot of content so i'm only going to retake unit 1.

Unit 1 - 23/90 UMS (U GRADE)

Unit 2 - 73 /150 UMS (E GRADE)

= E overall.


If i retake unit 1 (23UMS out of 90 UMS)
and get an A in that paper, will it push my overall AS grade up to a C?

I currently got an E in AS biology.
Im wondering if some one can work out the UMS and stuff to tell me that would an 'A 'in Unit 1 be enough to push my overall AS grade from an 'E' to a 'C'

You haven't given us all the info we need to answer the question!

What are your TOTAL UMS now?

In unit 1 - 23 ums
In unit 2 - 73 ums
In coursework - 36 ums

Total = 132/300

OK thanks - a grade C is 360/600 so you need 360 - 132 = 228 UMS ie 228/300 which is an average of a hIgh B (76 UMS) in A2.

If you are restiing AS you need a total of 180/300, so for paper 1 you need 180 - (73 +36) = 180 - 109 = 71 UMS.
