Why are British youth so right wing?

You've got to be kidding me. I'm normally the 'liberal' in any older crowd, but when I talk to other students I can't help myself but think of them as 'lefty liberal yahoos'!
I'm fairly left wing economically, I only have 'far right' views because I believe that my country is getting worse and isn't in a good way at the moment (not just because of immigration)
