Has anyone else applied for mental health nursing? I have my interview at the start of February and I'm super nervous about the whole group discussion part, eekkk!

Heya, congratulations on getting your interview. That's great news :h: Is there anything in particular about the group discussion that's making you nervous...?
Do you know when we will be able to start applying for accommodation?

Hey! I've just received a conditional offer from Staffs and I'm just a bit nervous about one requirement in particular. On the entry requirements about the course it didn't mention that you needed to get a C in maths, I'm taking maths again and currently on a D grade but it is one of my requirements and I'm a bit worried in case I don't end up meeting that one. What would happen if I met all the rest of the requirements but that one? Will my offer be given to someone else? It's just I'm not sure I'll be able to get a C because I've always ended up with getting a D and Staffs is what I want to make my firm choice.

Hey there, accommodation should open for this year in February, so there's still plenty of time :h:

Hi there - congratulations on your offer, that's great to hear  What course are you applying for? We have grade requirements so that you don't fall behind when you're doing your degree - but if you let me know what course I'll speak to someone from the department who'll be able to give you some more information.

Is there anything you're really struggling with in maths? Have you ever had a look at the maths page on TSR? There's lots of useful study resources there

I'm applying for Digital Film and Post Production Technology, thanks I'd really like to find out because I'm worried I won't be able to meet the requirement for maths because I've always struggled with it. And thanks I'll check it out.

Hey there, congratulations on your offer - that's great to hear :h: There's someone else thinking of applying for Games Art here. Might be helpful to have a chat with them?

If you've got anything else you want to know about your application feel free to ask me

Hey there - I've had a message back from the course leader now. :h: He says that the best thing for you to do is aim for the best grades that you can get - which is good advice as future employers may care about this too. It's a specialised course and we do consider people on a case by case basis, so you may still be able to join the course if you only miss the grade by a few points.

He's also happy for you to give him a ring and talk through your options, which is a good idea. I'll send you a private message with his contact details now.

Hiya,

You mean you're not sure if you'll be studying at Shrewsbury or Stafford campus....? :h:

For the interview day you'll have four activites: A group talk, a numeracy test, a group discussion and an interview.

You should dress smart like you would for a job interview. It's also a good idea to read up on current campaigns on the RCN website or other journals so you've got some knowledge about the profession. :h:

Hello - don't worry about this. Universities don't have to finalise their decisions until the end of March, so if you've not heard back yet it doesn't mean anything. If you're really stressed you can give our admissions team a call  Although it is still early days so they might not be able to tell you much.

Have you applied anywhere else?
Okay thank you (:, yes Wolverhampton and Chester, iv received all my other offers but they're slightly different courses. It's Staffordshire I want really
