Re: TSR Mature Students' Society!!!Good luck, hopefully you will get in. Where are you hoping to study?(Original post by Tess11978)
Hi!
Introducing myself here..
I am hoping to study Accountancy this year. I have a lot of work experience and recently studied with the OU.
I hope I get in, if not then I will be doing an access course. I am 33. -
Re: TSR Mature Students' Society!!!Completely understand! Just remember everyones nervous, and you will make friends during your course. We don't all have to be clubbing every night!!(Original post by kttmagic)
Hi, I'm 42 and starting first degree - I think I am actually more nervous about Freshers, than the actual course!!!! lol
Depending on the Uni you may find they have specific Mature Student sessions so you can meet like minded people too. -
Re: TSR Mature Students' Society!!!
Im so annoyed at the job centre. I got a temporary enrollment a couple weeks ago and they said I just needed to get a form stamped to confirm Im on benefit and I should get my course paid for. So next time I went in the job centre the woman said I needed to bring something to confirm I was doing the courses, so the next time I go in its a different person and he doesnt say anything about that but that they have to send it away to get stamped. Its now a week later and it hasnt come back yet and tomorrow is the last day I have to enroll. I was thinking if it doesnt come in the post tomorrow Ill just go to the place myself and get another copy stamped. But I looked up the address and I think its postal only. Its just the fact that if that woman had just sent it off a week earlier, I would have saved £400. It was avoidable. If I just didnt qualify for fee waiver it would be different. I just find it weird here in scotland uni students get fees covered but, college students have to pay quite substantial fees. my other course was £500.

Re:TSR Mature Students' Society!!!
Hello I'd like to be part of this respectable society! First off I'm a student who needs some advice on what universities to go to in the UK for a reasonable education on engineering, any help appreciated!
