Interpreter Employment

Next year, I will be entering university. I have decided to go for Translation Studies. (Interpretation is not offered in any of the universities in my city)
All the jobs I can find online require at least 2 years of related experiences. (I am multilingual) I don't know how interpreter and translator newbies can find a job while freshly graduated from universities. Is that besides Translation Studies, I will have to study another subject in order to secure my employment chance? Can someone share their experience?
Thanks in advance!

You could approach agencies that provide translation services and ask for work.
