Im supposed to say something really long winded, but being the freak brit I tend to go with "Office of Senator .........". Its more of a problem getting people to understand my accent than anything else.

"Good afternoon, you're through to Primecare, this is Carl speaking. Are you calling for yourself or for somebody else?"

Although I usually get the time of day wrong. I answered "good morning" at three this afternoon. That usually perplexes the caller somewhat :s-smilie:

"Hello Batcave. Good morning commissioner"

Usually.

'Hello. Helpdesk. Matthew speaking. (How can I help?)'

EDIT: why are people being so secretive about where they work?

'Hello, MI5, is the vicar in the shrubs?'

I hate telephones and much prefer to see people face-to-face if remotely possible.
